Student Dormitory

The student dormitory at Nakhchivan State University was put into operation in 1977. Over the years, only one minor renovation was carried out in 1997. The dormitory was completely renovated and reconstructed, with an additional building constructed, and it was reopened on February 28, 2011. The student dormitory consists of 2 blocks and is designed to accommodate 462 students, with 200 places for female students and 262 for male students. The rooms are designed for 2 or 3 occupants. The dormitory houses more than 40 international students from countries such as Turkiye, Iran, Egypt, South Korea, Nigeria, Bangladesh, and others. The basement of the dormitory includes separate facilities for both female and male students, including tennis courts, chess rooms, a bathhouse, and a common laundry. Additional rooms include a storage area, security service, locksmith, and household services. On the first floor, there are sections for both male and female students that feature electronic whiteboard rooms and television lounges for study preparation and relaxation. The dormitory is equipped with a modern boiler system for heating. Each floor has kitchens designated for male and female students. On the first floor where male students reside, in addition to study and relaxation rooms, there are facilities such as a medical station, a dormitory manager’s office, an accounting office, a facilities manager’s office, a self-management commission, and a student council room. For water supply, a 100-ton water tank and a transformer for electricity supply are installed at the rear of the dormitory. The rooms are furnished with modern beds, wardrobes, and computer desks for each student. The dormitory is equipped with heating, gas, electricity, telephone, and internet (Wi-Fi) connections. Surrounding the dormitory, there are green spaces and recreational areas created for students to relax and spend their free time effectively.
