The Strategic Development and Quality Assurance Division has been operating since April 7, 2023
Directions of the Division's Activities:
- Implementing the strategic development plan of Nakhchivan State University (NSU);
- Achieving the goals and objectives set out in the strategic development plan of NSU;
- Coordinating between faculties, departments, and structural units of the university for the implementation of the strategic development plan (SDP);
- Conducting satisfaction surveys among academic staff and students regarding the organization of the educational process, research and innovation environment, existing problems, and their solutions, and analyzing the results of these surveys to prepare and monitor the implementation of action plans;
- Monitoring the organization of teaching, the quality of educational-program documentation, and methodological materials;
- Coordinating quality assurance issues among existing commissions, leadership, and interested parties;
- Representing the university in various events related to the division's activities;
- Participating in the work of commissions and working groups created at the university;
- Engaging in other activities as determined by legislation.
Organization of the Division's Activities:
- The structure and number of staff positions of the division are approved by the rector of the university.
- The division is headed by a division chief appointed by the rector's order.
- The division chief distributes tasks among subordinate employees, coordinates their activities, and ensures compliance with labor and performance discipline;
- The division chief monitors the timely and high-quality implementation of the activities outlined in the work plan, which is developed to ensure the fulfillment of the division's tasks;
- The division chief identifies issues to be discussed at the university's Academic Council and submits proposals to the university administration;
- The division chief makes recommendations to the university administration for rewarding or disciplining the division's employees;
- The division has the authority to request necessary information and documents from other university structures within the scope of its duties.

Sevinj Shahbaz qizi Karimova
Sevinj Shahbaz qizi Karimova (Baghirova) was born on October 9, 1982, in the village of Chomaxtur, Sharur District, Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. She started her education in 1988 at the Chomaxtur Village Secondary School, graduating from Secondary School No. 2 named after Maharram Seyidov in Sharur District in 1999. She was admitted to the Chemistry Department of Nakhchivan State University in 1999 and successfully graduated in 2003.
After teaching for one year at a secondary school (Darvishler Village Secondary School, Sharur District), S. Karimova continued her education in the Master's program in Physical Chemistry at Nakhchivan State University in 2004. During her studies, she continued teaching at the Chomaxtur and Darvishler Village Secondary Schools. She successfully completed her Master's degree in Physical Chemistry at Nakhchivan State University in 2006.
From 2006 to 2008, she worked as a chemistry teacher at a secondary school.
In 2008, she started working as a laboratory assistant in the Department of Chemistry at Nakhchivan State University and was appointed as a senior laboratory assistant in 2011.
In 2012, she was appointed as a full-time instructor in the Department of Chemistry. In 2022, she was promoted to Senior Instructor of the Chemistry Department. On April 7, 2023, she was appointed as the head of the Quality
Assurance Division at Nakhchivan State University.
She is a Ph.D. candidate at Nakhchivan State University and the author of 15 scientific articles and 1 publicistic article.
She is currently working on a dissertation titled "Investigation of the Inhibitory Effect of Phenol Derivatives with Additional Functional Groups on the Corrosion of Steel in Biphasic Electrolyte-Hydrocarbon Systems.
She has been a member of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) since 2018.
She is married and has two daughters.
